Whenever you make a major life change, it’s important to update your personal information with the Canada Revenue Agency as soon as possible. That way, you can be sure to receive all the benefit and credit payments you’re entitled to.
You should also make sure to update your contact information, such as your email address. It’s used to notify you when important changes are made to your account, to protect you from fraudulent activity.
To make these changes, you don’t even have to call. You can save time by doing it online with the agency’s online portal called My Account.
